Kathy Deichen
Artistic / Managing Director and Executive Producer
As founder, Kathy has produced all of IAM Theatre's productions. As a manager, singer and actor, she brings over 35 years of production management, as well as performance experience to this production company. Kathy holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Northwestern University and has worked as a Management Consultant with field specialties in Strategic Marketing and Advertising. Kathy has committed her time, energy and skills to support numerous nonprofit organizations. She has served as Marketing Chair for the Board of Directors for The Playhouse in San Anselmo, and the San Francisco March of Dimes Auxiliary. For over a decade, she has performed in benefit productions that provide funding for the arts enrichment programs for both the Tamalpias and the Ross Valley School Districts, as well as performing benefit concerts for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. As a performer, Kathy has portrayed a wide array of roles. Recent roles include: Mrs. Lovett, "Sweeney Todd"; Mame Dennis, "Mame"; Kate, "Kiss Me Kate"; Martha, "The Secret Garden"; Mrs. Potts, "Disney's Beauty and the Beast"; and, has performed in the Bay Area cast of "New Wrinkles" and "Clean Up Crew From Heaven". Also as Mrs. Bennett in the national premiere of “Pride and prejudice the Musical”. Kathy has appeared in productions in Chicago, Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area.


Steve Plath
Set Design - Co Producer
Steve has been performing in local theater for the last eleven years and he has been involved with IAM Theatre since 2000. In addition to performing, Steve has had primary responsibility for set design and building for theater groups including IAM 's previous production, Sweeney Todd in which he produced. An advocate of educational enrichment through the arts, Steve has dedicated his time and talents to performances benefiting the Ross Valley Community for Schools and YES organizations. A former four term President of The Playhouse in San Anselmo Board of Directors, a non-profit performing arts facility, Steve continues to serve as Chairman of the Building Committee. He is the president of Plath & Company, a construction firm he founded in 1975 specializing in high-end residential remodels and new homes. Steve graduated from California State Polytechnic University with a degree in Mathematics in 1967.


Amy GoodmanBox Office - Co ProducerAmy has been involved with IAM Theatre since 2000 and produced Sweeney Todd in 2003. Amy brings 12 years of Marin Community Theater production and performance experience to IAM. She sings lead and competes regionally with the San Francisco Soundwave Chorus, a woman's acappella group that is a member of Sweet Adelines International. For over a decade, Amy has promoted the importance of the arts in school curriculums by volunteering her time and talent in benefit theater productions that subsidize the arts programs of the Tamalpais School District. She has served on the Board of Directors for Young Audiences, an organization providing multi cultural performing arts to schools. In addition to theater production Amy is also a Realtor in San Francisco.


Bonnie Conkling Gralnick
Milliner-Prop Mistress
Bonnie has been involved in Marin County theater for over a decade. A dancer by training, Bonnie has performed in Chicago and the Bay Area. Off stage, she has contributed her time and creativity to costume design, choreography, as well as procuring and improvising props for IAM Theatre productions since 1999. A proponent of student arts enrichment, Bonnie has volunteered her time and talent to productions that benefit the Ross Valley School District. An imaginative milliner, Bonnie has created outrageous and glamorous designs that have graced the heads of actors in such shows as A Mid Summer Night's Dream, Pippin, Hello, Dolly!, Kiss Me Kate, The Secret Garden, City of Angels, Mame, Anything Goes, Sweeney Todd, and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. In her free time, Bonnie designs ceremonial headdresses for a remote, albeit well dressed tribe in New Guinea.


Suzan PlathCostume DesignHer extensive ballet training, a career in fashion and her passion for vintage clothing collecting led Suzan into community theater costuming in 1996. Since then, she has been a consultant on period costuming for various production companies and first joined IAM Theatre in 2003 designing costumes for Sweeney Todd. Her many other design credits include: The Music Man, Hello, Dolly!, Ten Little Indians, Kiss Me Kate and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Suzan makes us all look good.


Jordan Deichen Assistant:Costume and Properties DesignJordan has assisted in costume and properties design since 2000. Her imagination and creativity are boundless. Jordan holds a BA in English/Creative Writing from Colorado College and attended Stanford University's Institute for General Management. Jordan has interned for the iconic fashion designer, Zandra Rhodes in London and has studied Fashion Design and Construction at the Academy of Arts University in San Francisco. Her love of creative writing and her experience working in marketing and advertising agencies has also been a valuable resource for IAM. Jordan has grown up with IAM Theatre and we have all come to value her talent and to appreciate her very quirky humor.
